Why Reviews Matter Event When Nothing Has Changes
"Nothing has changed."
I hear that all the time.
And sometimes it's true.
The house is the same.
The cars may be the same.
The policies haven't changed much.
But here's my question:
Has life changed?
Because usually, it has.
Policies Can Stay the Same While Life Changes Completely
Maybe you got married.
Had a baby.
Changed jobs.
Received a raise.
Bought a rental property.
Started a business.
Paid off debt.
Took on new debt.
Started caring for an aging parent.
Sent a child to college.
Started thinking seriously about retirement.
Life moves.
And insurance decisions that made perfect sense five years ago may not fit today.
A Review Isn’t an Administrative Exercise
A good review isn't simply reading the declarations page back to the customer.
It's reconnecting coverage to life.
What's changed?
What's important now?
What are you worried about?
What are you working toward?
Who depends on you today who didn't five years ago?
Those conversations uncover things a policy document never will.
The Why Behind the What
So why do we ask customers to review their insurance when they tell us nothing has changed?
Because we're not simply reviewing policies.
We're reviewing whether yesterday's decisions still protect today's life.
Policies may stay the same.
People don't.
That's the why behind the what.
